RIGHT MEASUREMENT, RIGHT PLACE. Achieving optimal performance of an air handler is dependent on many factors, from a strong mechanical design, to well-programmed control sequences. Many times, the value of the sensors within the air handler is not considered when selecting the best equipment. However, getting the right measurement from the right location can, and does, impact both performance and efficiency.
GOING BEYOND THE STANDARD FOR BEST PERFORMANCE
While many sensors are simply required to operate the unit, other sensors can be added to improve performance. Valent chooses to include in the VX units, key sensors that others don’t provide to ensure reliable, accurate, and efficient performance.
- Cooling Coil Leaving Air Temperature sensor to ensure optimal dehumidification performance
- Fan Airflow Monitoring to affordably confirm that specified airflow equals delivered airflow without the complexity of damper airflow monitoring stations
- Differential Pressure switch across all filter banks allows the unit to continue to operate while still warning the operator of the need for maintenance
- Energy Recovery Wheel rotation sensor to alarm when this key component is not delivering expected energy reduction.
