ENERGY RECOVERY VENTILATORS
Valent’s energy recovery expertise now extends to energy recovery ventilators (ERV). These units include an energy recovery device and fan and serve to pull additional outdoor air into spaces. ERV are commonly paired with standalone rooftop units to help increase the outdoor air volume, meet energy code requirements, and lower energy costs.
MULTIPLE FLEXIBLE TECHNOLOGIES
While some manufacturers focus on just one technology, Valent’s ERV product line offers energy recovery wheels and enthalpy core heat exchangers, which both effectively transfer sensible and latent energy. These flexible technologies meet minimum
efficiencies prescribed by ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and LEED requirements.
Enthalpy wheels offer the highest efficiencies. They rotate and must be serviced regularly to ensure proper operation. Enthalpy core devices meet minimum efficiency standards, with low maintenance operation because they have no moving parts.
