INVERTER SCROLL COMPRESSORS ARE QUIET AND EFFICIENT

While both inverter and digital scroll compressors are useful technologies, inverter scroll compressors have several advantages over digital scroll compressors.

INVERTER SCROLL

When compared to digital scroll compressors, inverter scroll compressors are quieter and have 30-50% better IEER ratings, on average.

UP TO 50% IEER AVERAGE IMPROVEMENT OVER DIGITAL

The variable-speed (VFD-driven) motor of an inverter scroll compressor continuously modulates refrigerant compression to directly match the required cooling or heating load. At part load, inverter scroll compressors are significantly more efficient than digital scroll compressors, which control capacity by opening or closing an unloading valve.

Given that HVAC systems spend many operating hours at part load, overall compressor efficiency is much greater with inverter scrolls than with digital scroll compressors, resulting in an average 30-50% IEER improvement.

QUIET PART-LOAD OPERATION

VFD-driven inverter scroll motors are quieter than digital scroll unloading valves. This becomes especially evident during part-load operation.

In addition, Valent encloses compressors behind a foam-injected insulated access door and isolates compressors from the unit floor, further attenuating sound transfer.
